Filming Reflection

I had my first filming session yesterday, wednesday, and it went quite well overall. There was a slight problem with the first tape I used, as it kept coming up with an error message about the lens. But with a new tape this problem seemed to go away, however, it would have been better to check the tape before I wanted to start filming as this wasted some time. The overall effect of the filming seemed to look okay, but it was hard to manipulate the amount of light in some of the surroundings as a whole set of corridor lights were switched on and off by just one switch. However, I was able to overcome this issue by using curtains paper, to filter the amount of light entering the scene.
I also added some extra shots to my film to experiment with and to show some more expressive features and variation of techniques.
When filming I missed some shots of the initial conversation at the start of my film, so at the moment it will not flow smoothly and show continuity, as there is no shot reverse-shot. I need to go back and film these some other time, but it should be relatively easy to do in one of my study periods when all the actors are free as well. I will also be enable to manipulate the amount of light entering the room again because it is surrounded with curtains, ensuring there is no problem with continuity. I plan add these shots at the beginning of next week.
